Compang is a stone relic. In the civilization of that era stone used as a variety of media or tools to meet such daily needs. The stones are used for hunting to become the highest means of worship (Relationship with God).
Compang was built in the middle of the village, composed of stones shaped altar. In the middle there is an upright stone as a symbol of cosmic marriage between heaven and earth.
In Manggarai myths, some compang in Manggarai were built by spirits (land) as in Compang Cibal and Pacar. There are large stones that are rationally difficult to lift by human burden.
